Biography
Jay Gould was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He received a B.F.A. in photography from the University of Wisconsin and his photography M.F.A. from the Savannah College of Art in Design in Georgia. Gould is an instructor at the Maine Photographic Workshops, lectures at schools and conferences, and is currently assistant professor of photography at Louisiana Tech University. While teaching, Gould continues to create new work and exhibit his photographs across the country. His various projects intermingle a variety of photographic techniques and aesthetics while consistently utilizing themes of art, science and storytelling.
