I glimpsed the future yesterday,
next to a secular display
A lovely strange place
Here Darwin fights faith
Fun no matter which side you play.
This is from my favorite "Natural History" museum in Louisiana. Worth a visit. The woman who runs it is amazingly sweet, interesting, and accommodating. Here are a few more pictures to enjoy.

With so few colors from which to choose
I let intuition be my muse
Red and Yellow, that's good
form icons from childhood
this badass hulk cookie cannot lose

If any of you happen to be in Colorado sometime in the next three months, check out this show at the Fort Collins Museum of Contemporary Art. You'll see 12 diverse artists that deal with science in their work, including yours truly. The reception is Friday, January 4th at 7pm.
Here is a link to the exhibition and Jeanne Shoaff's fine curatorial statement.

D. Lets us know about this and that
Lately it's a scream, not a nice chat
I don't sleep like I please
When the D. has the fleas
So I spend a night with a wet cat

Let's chalk some sports in my Southern log
Defeating teams from beyond the bog
The crowd woofs like a hound
Ignoring what I've found
A delectable twenty-yard dog

Oppressive heat chased the fool inside
Coffee cup knight, caffeine he does ride
On quests of mind, not place
Stain-toothed smirks spread on face
"Kill the Syllabi beast!" they both cried.

Mission Control, I've crashed in LA
The lifeforms here have locked me away
Decoding fluid drawls
I declare to Y'Alls
Beneath this suit is one sweaty Jay
i'm sorry for the dry spell on the limericks lately. I am now all moved to my new job and will be back to consistency. I appreciate your patience and loyalty to these silly things and promise to have some more absurdity coming.

Laying at the edge of the prairie
I think of the things customary
Music of chirps and clicks
A thorough check for ticks
Then melt my cruel heart with black coffee
